Chapter Chat (Zoom Meeting)
CHAPTER CHAT fall
Join us on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 4:00 – 4:45pm to discuss a well-loved children's chapter book. This intergenerational book club is suitable for readers ages 8 – adult.

TEDDY BEAR PICNIC
Join us on Friday, June 18th at Noon for the 35th Annual Teddy Bear Picnic. This year's program will be held virtually on Facebook Live. Grab your favorite stuffy, a blanket & a picnic lunch and tune in for sweet stories.

Early Literacy Kits
On Wednesday, July 7 starting at 10:30am, we will be offering early literacy kits - available for pick-up on a first come, first served basis! Each kit (for you to keep) has a picture book, activity ideas, and supplies for your child to practice the five early literacy skills of reading, writing, singing, playing, and talking. Two different kits are available : one for infants and toddlers and one for preschoolers. These amazing kits were made possible by a generous donation from the Great Start Collaborative Oakland County program.

Family Movie Night Kit : Tails & Tales
Family Movie Night kits will be available for pick up on Friday, July 9 between 10am and 4pm. Kits will include a (free) rental DVD and a movie night snack! DVDs will be checked out on your library card and will need to be returned to the library - DUE DATE: Friday, July 16. The theme of the movie selections is “Tails & Tales.”

Camp PencilPoint ~ Virtual Drawing Class 
We are so excited to partner with our pals at Camp PencilPoint for an online drawing extravaganza! Join us on Thursday, July 15 at 6:30pm on Facebook Live for a drawing session with a little nonsense and tomfoolery, too! Camp PencilPoint will stream live from the library's Facebook page.

We are pleased to announce that Dan Briere of The Little Creatures Co. will be joining us via Zoom on Thursday, August 5th at 7pm. Looking forward to a fun, educational, and up-close visit with some awesome creatures.

Mat Yoga For All Ages  
Join Marilyn Bird on Thursday, June 24 at 6:30pm (via Zoom) for a virtual basic yoga class, designed for all ages and skill levels. This class will teach you how to improve your flexibility, strength and balance with basic yoga poses and breathing techniques.

Story Hours

Pre-School Story time
For children aged 3 – 5 years old. We will listen to stories and participate in songs and creative movement activities to encourage development of early literacy skills in your preschooler. Story time meets on Tuesdays from 10:30 – 11:00am. Please sign-up at the library or by phone. 
     Session: CURRENTLY OFFERING ONLINE STORYTIME (see above)

Parent and Tot Time
For toddlers up to three years old accompanied by an adult. Enjoy an interactive story time with your child that includes early literacy fun with books, songs and movement activities. Tot Time takes place on Thursdays from 10:00 – 10:20am and 10:30 – 10:50am. Please sign-up at the library or by phone.

Paws to Read therapy dogPAWS to Read!
Come to the library to read to a dog. Our favorite certified therapy dogs love to be read to ... so pick out a book to read to a furry friend! Sign-up for a 10 minute time slot at the library or by phone.
