On the third Wednesday of each month, from 1:00 to 2:00PM, the Wednesday Afternoon Book Club will read from the list below!

Blair Memorial Library’s 90th Anniversary Celebration 
On Wednesday, November 13th, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, join us for an evening of music and entertainment celebrating the Blair Memorial Library’s 90th Anniversary!

Yoga-For-All Ages
Bring your mat or use a chair and join Marilyn Bird for a free basic yoga class, designed for all ages and skill levels.  This class will teach you how to improve your flexibility, strength and balance with basic yoga poses and breathing techniques.We will also explore how to utilize the mind-body-breath connection to promote a deep sense of peacefulness and relaxation. Class size is limited.

Bracelet Creation!
Virginia from the Clawson Library will demonstrate and have you create a metal wire bangle bracelet just in time for the holidays! Class size is very limited.

Practicing Mindfulness for Well-being
Learn about mindfulness and how to practice. This session will include an invitation to participate in some gentle mindful movement and guided meditation, followed by a discussion about ways to practice in everyday life.  Feel free to wear comfortable clothes or simply come as you are!  An attitude of curious skepticism is welcomed.

As a part of the 2020 Oakland County Bicentennial commemoration, Jim Craft of the Oakland County Historical Commission will deliver a talk on the background, content and value of The 1877 History of Oakland County as historical literature.

Laura Slowinski and Thom Stark will show you how to create effective strategies for online marketing and use social media to your advantage. Every second and fourth Thursday of the month from 12:30pm to 1:30pm 

Join The Friends of the Library!
The Friends of Blair Memorial Library meet at 6:30pm on the first Monday of the month (September–June). This dedicated group of library boosters welcomes all members of the community to join them as they plan activities and fundraisers to support the library.

Clawson Business Resource Center Programming

Through a partnership of the Clawson Blair Memorial Library, Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and the support of the Oakland County Small Business Center we offer an extensive collection of resources for all your business needs.

Business Mentoring:
One-on-one business mentoring is available by SCORE representatives, current and retired business executives, offering no cost confidential counseling. Request counseling online at; click on ‘Request a Meeting’ in the green box on the right side of  the page or phone 313-226-7947.

Note: Appointments may be scheduled in Clawson, at the *Blair Memorial Library, every Wednesday from 5pm-8pm. If you desire the Clawson location please specify. If using the online scheduling note Clawson in the ‘Your Question’ box. Clawson is the only location that offers evening counseling.
