Fun In The Sun Summer Day Camp

An affordable alternative to daycare for children ages 6-11. The program includes barbeques, arts and crafts, trips to the swimming pool, games and field trips. THIS PROGRAM WILL FILL UP.

Basketball Camp

Coordinated by Matt Jansen

This popular program was developed for boys and girls and designed to be fun, with an emphasis on learning the fundamentals of basketball.

Wild Adventures Camp

This camp has cycling, swimming, climbing, fishing and more! Ages 6-13. Times are when the kids will be picked up and dropped off at Hunter Community Center by Oakland County buses.

Independence Oaks Park

Wild Adventures Extreme Camp

This camp has all of the fun as the Wild Adventures Camp, plus canoeing, backpacking, shelter building and outdoor survival skills. Ages 11-15. Times are when the kids will be picked up and dropped off at Hunter Community Center by Oakland County buses.

Spend three days at Red Oaks Waterpark kayaking, snorkeling, rock climbing and more! Jump in, the water is great! Ages 10-14. Transportation is not provided.

Football Camp

A great pre-training activity for the start of football season. Learn the basics of all football positions. Ages 8-11. Wear cleats or gym shoes, shirt, shorts or sweat pants.

Troy High School

Volleyball Camp

Girls and boys learn the basic volleyball skills, such as passing, serving and game strategies. All campers receive a volleyball. Ages 11-13.

Athens Auxillary Gym

Mon-Fri Noon-3pm July 7-11 $103

Speed, Agility and Quickness

Improves movement skills needed to excel on the court and field. Participant will improve starts, speed, balance and flexibility. Must have practice clothes, cleats and running shoes and a physical card. For grades 10-12.

Troy High School

Fast Pitch Softball

Designed for any skill level, this camp specializes in fast pitch skills, hitting and base-running. For grades 8-15

All equipment is new at this state-of-the-art facility and all instructors are USA Gymnastics members. Additional classes and times are available. A $25 yearly insurance fee is required at first class. Clawson residents receive a10% discount on all classes by registering at Hunter Community Center. Infinite Path Martial Arts

A full-time, top-quality martial arts school located inside the Hunter Community Center. Your child can start at any time. No testing fees or hidden costs! A safe, nurturing, exciting program specifically desinged to meeet the learning needs of young children: discipline, attention span, confidence and self-esteem, listening to parents and teachers, positive attitude, working individually and within a group, communication, fitness, balance and coordination, healthy foods, stranger danger and more. Ages 5 and 6.

Hunter Community Center

A comprehensive discipline of the mind and body in a safe, age-appropriate, non-competitive program designed especially for kids. Parents see immediate improvements in all areas of the students life: discipline and self-control, confidence, and self-esteem, concentration, patience, respect, setting and achieving goals, partner skills, leadership and public speaking, grades at school, relationships and responsiblities at home. These are the life skills your child needs! Different tuition plans available. Ages 7 and up.

Sports Starters

Instructor: Leisure Unlimited

A fun introduction to individual sports skills. Various balls, bean bags and hula hoops will be used to help your toddlers understand and execute the skills of running, catching, throwing and kicking. Class emphasis is on participation, effort and fun! Wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle.

Spanish Immersion Montessori Pre-school

This is a Spanish immersion program that uses the Montessori philosophy. It is one of a few schools in the USA that combine the Montessori philosophy of education with language immersion schooling, and has been enjoying steady growth since February 2002, that relocated for the 2005/06 school year to the Hunter Community Center, 509 Fisher Court, Clawson, MI 48017.

Don’t Be Late!

Nothing kills a good program quicker than everyone waiting until the last minute to register for it. You see, there’s a point where, if there are not enough registrants, we must make a decision to cancel a course. Coming on the day of the activity to sign-up won’t resurrect it, so please register well in advance of the deadlines.
