POSITIVE PERSPECTIVES Tuesday, May 1st at 10:30am. Join this lively ongoing discussion group featuring various topics but ALWAYS focusing on all that is positive!
"SIMPLE SKIN CARE right from the Kitchen" Wednesday, May 2nd at 1pm. Cost: $2 Wilma Pace will share some special recipes for healthy skin care products that you can creat right in your own kitchen. Please register by April 25th by calling 248-583-6700.
"Anyone Can Paint" with Steve Wood Thursday,May 10th 9:30-11:30am. Cost: $25. All supplies included to complete a painting during class. Steve Wood, from the popular TV show "Anyone Can Paint", will instruct this class. Steve will guide you through the process and show you techniques to complete your painting during this 2 hour class! Steve's show can be seen on WOW Channel 18 or Comcast Channel 18 Thursday's at 12pm and Saturday's at 8:30pm. Please sign up by March 5th. We need at least 8 people to make this class a go!
Mother's Day Luncheon Wednesday, May 13th Noon. Cost: $3 donation. Enjoy a delicious lunch and celebrate the women in our lives. Door prizes and special entertainment by Charlene Melody & Mark Grable" who will perform a wide assortment of favorite tunes with flute and guitar.
"Impressionism: The Art of Seeing" Wednesday, May 23rd 1pm Cost: Donation. Wendy Evans will be on hand to give her final presentation in this series. The Impressionist paintings which are so loved today began in the rebellion of a few young artists in Paris against the formalism and sentimentality that characterized academic art in the late 1800's. We'll explore the roots of this transformation, look at works by artists like Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh.
