Story Hours
Pre-School Storytime
Children (ages 3–5) will listen to stories and participate in songs, rhymes, beanbag, rhythm stick and other movement activities. Storytime meets on Tuesdays from 10:30–11:00am. Sign-up by phone or at the library.
Spring session: April 24 – May 22 (sign up 3/27)
Summer session: June 19 – July 24 (sign up 5/22)
Parent and Tot Time
Tot Time is for children up to three years old accompanied by an adult. Everyone sits in a circle and listens to stories and participates in songs, finger plays, rhymes and rhythm stick activities. Tot Time takes place on Thursdays from 10:00–10:20am and 10:30–10:50am. Sign-up by phone or at the library.
Spring session: April 26 – May 24 (sign up 3/29)

2012 Summer Reading Programs
Dream Big: Read!
Join us for the 2012 Summer Reading Program: Dream Big: READ! We have a lot of fun programs planned! Summer Reading is open to young people, preschool age through 5th grade, and will include special programs, prize drawings, storytimes, and more.Sign-up begins on June 15 (the last day of school).
A family party and award ceremony will conclude the program on August 2.
Teen Read 2012: Own the Night!
The Teen Read summer program is for those entering 6th grade thru 12th grade. Teens may enter weekly prize drawings by reading books or listening to audio books. Sign-up begins on June 15 (the last day of school).
The Teen Read program will conclude with a pizza party.
TEEN Summer Book Club
Book Title: A Step from Heaven by An Na (reserve your copy today!)
We will meet to discuss the book on Monday, July 16th from 7-8pm at the library. Snacks will be provided! Sign up begins on May 16th at the library or by phone.
Babysitter’s Workshop
Sixth graders and up are invited to a Babysitter’s workshop on Thursday & Friday, August 9 and 10 from 10:00 – noon. Participants must attend both days to receive a certificate of attendance. A Registered Nurse, a Police Officer and a Firefighter will speak about how to handle emergencies, fire safety and child care basics. Sign-up begins July 26 at the library or by phone.
Teddy Bear Picnic
Children and their teddy bears (or favorite stuffed toys) are invited to the 26th Annual Teddy Bear Picnic at the playground of the Hunter Community Center, 509 Fisher Court on Tuesday, August 14th from noon – 1:00pm. Please bring a bag lunch and a blanket or lawn chair. The library will provide a beverage. Remember to pre-register for this exciting event! Sign-up begins July 31 at the library or by phone.
(If it rains, the picnic will take place inside the Hunter Community Center.)
