The School Board oversees the operation of the district. Members are elected by the community in May elections. Terms are limited to four years with two terms expiring each year except for the fourth year. This guarantees continuity and effective leadership of the district.
The Board conducts its business in regular semi-monthly meetings at the Baker Administrative office in the second floor conference room at 626 Phillips, in Clawson. The meetings start at 7:00pm and are open to the public. During each regular meeting, time is allotted for public comment. The board also conducts workshops which are more informal and are held as required. All meetings are posted at least 48 hours before the meeting begins. You can find a meeting agenda at the entrance to each of the district's five buildings.
