As of September 10, 2009 the Clawson Police Department will NO LONGER PROCESS insurance requests for accidents.

The CLAWSON POLICE DEPARTMENT  is dedicated to enabling insurance companies to obtain accurate and affordable traffic accident reports within 1-4 business days of occurrence. To accomplish this we have made traffic accidents reports available through the Internet. CLEMIS has been chosen by our department to service ALL of our insurance requests for accident reports.

To request a CLEMIS account simply visit www.clemis.org and click on the "Request an Insurance Account" link. Complete the account request form and submit it. CLEMIS will notify you by e-mail when your account is ready for use. CLEMIS will provide on consolidated invoice to you on a monthly basis for reports that you purchase.

Internet Criminal History Access Tool (ICHAT)

This site allows registered users to search the Michigan criminal conviction records maintained by the Department of State Police, Criminal Justice Information Center. Police, courts and other criminal justice agencies throughout the State of Michigan submit these records to the state repository. This search does not include federal arrests or criminal records from other states.
   A search for criminal record information that might be in another state requires you to correspond directly with the criminal record repository of that state.
   If this is your first time to the site, select “register”; otherwise select “login” to proceed with a record search.
   First, register with email address and password or your choice.
Second, submit a search and you will be prompted for credit card information. There is a $10.00 fee for each criminal history (fee charged to your credit card). You will need the person’s name and birth date for the history.
