Museum Newsletter

Do you love history and want to get behind the scenes at the museum? Volunteering is a great way to do it! There is a lot to do to keep the museum in top shape and ready for visitors and researchers. Consider volunteering your skills today!

Do you have computer skills? The museum needs a person familiar with web development to assist in the creation of on-line exhibits. If you would like to help a few hours a month on a short term basis, please contact the curator.

Are you the creative type? A number of exciting projects are being planned at the museum, but they can't be produced without help. If you would like to participate, contact the curator to discuss how you can be involved.

The Museum Needs You

As we continue to improve our preservation efforts at the Clawson Historical Museum, the Historical Commission and the curator are seeking more volunteers to take an active part in preserving Clawson’s history.
Needed are more docents to act as guides one Sunday afternoon a month between 1pm–4pm. Volunteers are also needed for a variety of jobs such as housekeeping, taking care of the tools in the basement and organizing and filing the archives.
If you have good computer skills, attention to detail, and patience, your help is needed to scan and create an digital versions of our accession books. If you are interested in helping, please contact the museum.
