Thanks To Our Volunteers!

So many things get done around here because of our wonderful volunteers.

Special thanks to:

Deloris Kumler, for the many tours she has given, and the countless hours she has spent assisting me with so many things.

Millie Bergman, for her reliable and consistent docent Sundays.

Bill Tite, for his wonderful work on the newsletters, and his creative displays.

Fred Morgan, for repairing our player piano and keeping our tall clock in working order.

Clock Works, Inc., in Warren for repairing our tall clock.

Tim Burns, for painting our sign, and so many other things.

Joyce McIntyre, for keeping our files in order.

Justin Adams, for building a working crystal radio.

Girl Scout Troop 118, for assisting with housekeeping duties.

Paul Lucas, for all the numerous projects he has worked on.

Sarah Pounds, for tackling the daunting project of organizing the family files.

If I have forgotten anyone, I apologize—I appreciate all of our volunteers! Thanks to all for your dedication to the museum. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

The Museum Needs You

Do you like history and want to get behind the scenes at the museum? Volunteering is a great way to do it! There is a lot to do to keep the museum in top shape and ready for visitors and researchers. Consider volunteering your skills today!
Would you like to help out, but don't know where to start? Grab a friend, and help with creating a digital record of our accessions. The job involves photocopying our written records, and can easily be done with another person while you chat!

Would you like experience working with the public? The museum needs docents to act as guides one Sunday afternoon a month between 1pm–4pm. Docents would work with the curator to help visitors as they explore the museum during open hours.
Volunteers are also needed for a variety of jobs such as housekeeping, including light dusting, vacuuming, and similar tasks.

If you are interested in helping, please contact the curator at 248.588.9169, or email me at historicalmuseum@cityofclawson.com.
