Library Services

Blair Memorial Library serves patrons of all ages and interests. Books may be signed out from the library’s juvenile, young adult, adult, or large print collections, or may be interloaned from other libraries throughout the country. Books on tape, CD’s, DVD’s, magazines, magnifiers, Polaroid cameras and videos also may be signed out. A variety of databases and the internet may be searched. Educational computer games may be played. Home-bound residents may call the library to request that books be delivered to their homes. Visually-impaired patrons may use the Xerox Outlook magnifier and the Reading Edge reader, and may arrange for mail delivery of talking books.
Special programs are offered throughout the year at Blair Memorial Library. Children may attend preschool story hours, film and craft programs and summer reading club activities. Young adults are welcome to attend special programs and participate in Teen Read, our summer reading program. Adults are welcome to hear guest speakers in programs sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Blair Memorial Library is a member of The Library Network, a consortium of more than 60 libraries in Oakland, Wayne, Washtenaw, Livingston and St. Clair counties. The Blair Memorial Library also participates in Michicard, the state-wide library card.
