Summer Reading Program Information

Join us for the library’s 2008 Summer Reading Program—this year’s theme is Catch the Reading Bug! This program is open to young people, preschool age through 5th grade, and will include many programs, prize drawings, storytimes and more. Sign-up begins on June 11th (the last day of school).

 

 

Tuesdays in July @ your library!

Please join us at the library on Tuesdays in July, from 11:00am - noon, for fun programs that will include crafts, stories, games and lots of cool facts! Sign-up begins one week prior to even, at the library or by phone.

      July 1: Buggy Craft Hour

      July 8: Awesome Arctic (4-H)

      July 15: Fun, Food & Fitness (4-H)

      July 22: Under the Sea (4-H)

PAWS to Read!

Hey Kids! Come to the library and read to “Wizard” the dog. Wizard is a certified therapy dog, and loves to be read to … so pick out a book to read to a furry friend! Sign-up at the library or by phone. Participants will be assigned a specific time slot.

JUGGLE BUG Comedy Show & Family Party

Get ready for dazzling juggling, wacky stunts and big surprises with master juggler Joel Tacey. Come celebrate your summer reading accomplishments at the final party on Thursday, July 31st at 7:00pm at the Hunter Community Center.  

Sign-up begins July 17th at the library or by phone.

Parent & Tot Time

 

Tot Time is for children up to three years old accompanied by an adult. Everyone sits in a circle and listens to stories and participates in songs, finger plays, rhymes and rhythm stick activities. Tot Time takes place on Wednesdays from 10:00–10:20am and 10:30–10:50am. Sign-up by phone or at the library.

      Summer Session: June 18 - July 23

Pre-School Storytime

Children (ages 3–5) will listen to stories and participate in songs, rhymes, beanbag, rhythm stick and other movement activities. Storytime meets on Mondays from 10:30–11:00am. Sign-up by phone or at the library.

       Summer Session: June 16 - July 21

 

Teen & Tween Programs

 

 

Teen Read 2008: METAMORPHOSIS @ YOUR LIBRARY

The Teen Read summer program is for those entering 6th grade thru 12th grade. Teens may enter weekly prize drawings for every hour spent reading books or listening to audio books. A final party will take place on July 29th from 6:30–8:00pm. Sign-up begins on June 11th (the last day of school).
