The City Council adopted new water rates at their September 4, 2007 Council Meeting. Click here to view the .pdf of the presentation given at the meeting. Click here to view the water rate study report.
Starting on the 2007 Tax Roll, an annual special assessment of $25 per residential parcel for the specific purpose of sidewalk repair, replacement and maintenance will be added to residential taxes. These funds shall be deposited with the Treasurer of the City of Clawson in a specially designated fund entitled Single Family Residential Sidewalk Improvement. The assessment shall continue for six consecutive years but may be renewed upon a sufficient demonstration by the administration of the need to continue the assessment.

If your home needs repair, Oakland County can help. Oakland County offers affordable no cost, low-interest home improvements loans to qualified homeowners who live in the home and have a gross income that falls within the income guidelines listed below. Homeowners may receive up to $18,000 for a variety of structural, mechanical, energy conservation and health and safety related improvements.
Based on household income, loans are 3% installment loans with low monthly payments, 0% interest deferred payment loans (only the principal loan amount is repaid upon change in property ownership or occupancy) or a combination of the two loans.
